JOURNEYS TO SCHOOL : FRANCE

The childrenÍs father, Virgil, accompanies them to school every day by train. He insists that his children attend school, and regrets not having been lucky enough to go himself. UNESCO, TRANSDEV and SIPA PRESS have pooled their talents in partnership to create a photo exhibition dedicated to the children around the world who face real challenges in making their daily journey to school, sometimes at great personal risk, in the hope that their education will lead to a better life./Credit:LARIVE JEAN/SIPA/1306060949
